Patriot Place Foodie Friday: Baristo Café Bar

Baristo is the culmination of a project that started as Tavolino Express. With increasing popularity from its convenient takeout and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, then adding its own bar and hand-crafted cocktail menu with some of the same thoughtful wine selections as Tavolino, Baristo Café Bar was born in early 2020. After three years and some recent renovations, adding a bespoke lounge and overhauling the menu with a new selection of dishes that are full of flavor, Baristo Cafe Bar is a popular destination for people of all ages and backgrounds and provides a comfortable space to relax, work, socialize, or simply enjoy a drink or a meal.

Among the new menu additions are Lasagna made with layers of fresh pasta, ground sausage, bechamel, mozzarella and parmesan, Baristo Chopped Salad consisting of lettuce, radicchio, oregano-soaked sun-dried tomatoes, red onions, chickpeas, black olives, shaved asiago, croutons, pepperoncini and topped with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar and Roasted French Carrots with truffle honey, crushed pistachios and truffle crème. An absolute must-try is the Burrata Pizza. Burrata, a type of fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream, is the star of the show, adding a rich and creamy texture. The combination of the soft and creamy burrata cheese, the salty and savory Prosciutto, and the crispy yet chewy pizza crust make for a mouth-watering experience.

After 4:00 PM, Baristo bar is an evening hotspot to relax in, meet up with a few friends and grab a nice drink. One of the coolest cocktails on the menu has to be the Monte Carlo Redemption – made with high-rye Bourbon whiskey, Benedictine liqueur, and a lemon twist on the rocks.

For those with a sweet tooth, Baristo also serves a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
