About The Nature Trail
The Nature Trail offers a fun-filled, outdoor experience for everyone. Located behind Bass Pro Shops in the Patriot Place South Marketplace, the trail features:

  • Half-mile scenic walking trail that varies between three and six feet wide and is made of wood mulch.
  • A three percent grade that is as steep as 12 percent in some areas.
  • A wide variety of wildlife including Great Blue Heron, swans, mallards, wood ducks, Canada geese, deer, foxes, raccoons, turtles, and more.
  • Various plant life such as White Water Lilly, Pond Weeds, Wild Celery, Swamp White Oak, Red Maple, White Pine, Eastern Hemlock, and Serviceberry, Cranberry.
  • A 32-acre cranberry wetland system and wooded area.
About The Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog
The trail is home to the last remaining active cranberry bog in the town of Foxborough. Visitors will enjoy witnessing the Ocean Spray Bog as it comes to life. Visitors will learn about the life cycle of a cranberry and educational facts about the bog when they visit the 16-acre site.
Getting Here
From the south entrance to Patriot Place, take a right just before Bass Pro Shops; Follow signs for “The Nature Trail at Patriot Place.”

Grand Opening - August 1, 2009
Hundreds of people attended the Grand Opening of the Patriot Place Nature Trail and Ocean Spray cranberry bog on Saturday, August 1st. Bass Pro Shops experts provided hourly tours of the bog and Smokey Bear guided kids tours. Ocean Spray ws on-site with product samples of delicious cranberry-inspired drinks and snacks and Ocean Spray growers harvested a "mini" bog. Attendees also enjoyed a dog rescue demo featuring Winter Wood Retrievers.
The half-mile Nature Trail and Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog are located behind Bass Pro Shops and open to the public daily. Access is free.
