Olympia Sports – TB12 Athlete Recovery Sleepwear

Available in-store Saturday, January 14

Introducing Athlete Recovery Sleepwear engineered with TB12 Recovery Technology, available exclusively at Olympia Sports at Patriot Place on Saturday, January 14.

Under Armour has partnered with Tom Brady to create the world’s most advanced sleep system that actually rebuilds your body while you rest. The key is the print on the inside of the Athlete Recovery Sleepwear, which leverages the power of Far Infrared. Far Infrared is a type of energy on the infrared spectrum that has several benefits for the human body. TB12 technology was developed to harness it even when you’re resting. The soft bioceramic print on the inside of the garment absorbs the body’s natural heat and reflects Far Infrared back to the skin. This helps your body recover faster, promotes better sleep, reduces inflammation, and regulates cell metabolism.

Brady signed on with Under Armour in 2010; the company’s executives asked him to report back to them if he came across any sports science innovations. Two years ago, Brady invited Kevin Haley, UA’s president of innovation  and a handful of other company executives to his training center in Foxborough. He showed them how he applied a bioceramic sleeve to an injured calf muscle, and stayed on the field. “Our general reaction was look, you’re healing all the time, after every workout, after every game,” said Haley. “We can give you that same benefit over your entire body, if we were just to take it out of an all-gel sleeve and put it into an entire body garment. That’s where we got to sleep. Because that’s where so much of the recovery takes place.”
