Fall Hunting Classic
The Fall Hunting Classic returns to Bass Pro Shops August 6 through August 22. This event highlights all things hunting. There will be seminars, demonstrations, appearances by both national and regional hunting pros, and vendor representatives. While you’re stocking up on the latest products for your next hunt, you can try out our archery range, shoot paintball and pellet guns, even take an ATV out for a spin on our custom course! Don’t forget the kids, we’ll have foam shooter bows and crafts for all ages.

National Hunting Pros Jim Zumbo and Buck Gardner and will be on site Friday August 6th, from 5pm to 9pm. They'll have a meet and greet complete with autographs from 5pm to 7pm then give seminars from 7pm to 9pm.

Hunting Dog Demonstration
See demonstrations of hunting dogs in action. Learn from the pros how they train their dogs. There will be an opportunity to see dogs of all levels of training from the beginner to the pro in action. The trainers will be available to answer questions and offer advice on training your dog. Demonstration times are:- Saturday August 7 – 11:00am – 12:00pm

Traditional Archery Hunting For Deer
Come join our local archery pro Sean Callanan, IBO World Traditional Archery Champion for an informative and exciting seminar on hunting deer using traditional archery equipment. Archery Demo - Improving Your Shooting
Bow hunters, archery enthusiasts and other people who shoot bows be sure to bring your own bows and plan on joining us on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm to 7:00pm beginning July 6 through July 27 for archery demonstrations given by Jesse White one of our certified archery pros who has won numerous awards in competitive shooting. He will be demonstrating the techniques he uses in his competitive shooting. Jesse will also be available to help you fine tune your equipment and your shooting techniques. There will be opportunity to do some live shooting at ranges from twenty to forty yards at our outdoor range behind the store. So be sure to bring your bow and come on down and learn how to bring your shooting to the next level

 Fly Fishing Basics
April 15, 2010 - October 1, 2010 Once again this season we are offering Free Fly casting classes and demonstrations every Thursday and Friday from 6:30-8:00pm starting on 4/14/2010 (weather permitting). This class will be held on the back lawn behind the fishing center on the lower level. This class is a very popular hand’s on demonstration and class. The emphasis will be on the mechanics of fly casting geared towards the beginner and intermediate levels. Bring your own fly outfit or come and try one supplied by Bass Pro Shops.

 Sunday Outdoor Cooking

The Camping Department will be kicking off FREE Sunday outdoor cooking demo's and sampling on Sunday March 28, 2010. Please join Rich Nudd, our Outdoor Cooking Expert and his camping team as they cook up samples of different foods. He will be utilizing grills, smokers and Dutch Ovens. As always, Rich and his team stand ready to answer your questions and to teach new techniques. The weekly menu will be decided on Friday afternoons so call ahead and see what’s on the menu.

 Bow Hunters Education Course July 28, 2010 - July 31, 2010
Bow Hunters Education Course Sign up for the Mass Wildlife’s Bow Hunters education course being held at Bass Pro Shops conservation room on Wednesday July 28th 6-9 pm and Saturday July 31st 9am-5pm. Massachusetts offers the Bow hunter Education curriculum developed by the National Bow hunter Education Foundation. This course is accepted in other states and provinces which mandate the successful completion of a bow hunter education course. Course topics include the selection of equipment, safety, ethics, bow hunting methods, and care and handling of game. Pre-registration for the Bow Hunter Education Course is required. Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays in 2010 at 6:30pm, as well as on Saturdays at 1:30pm at the aquarium for the fish feeding. The aquarium is filled with over 400 native Massachusetts fish (courtesy of the Massachusetts Department of Fisheries and Wildlife). |
