Fish Feeding
Join Bass Pro Shops Tuesday and Thursday in 2008 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., as well as every Saturday between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., for their regular schedule of live fish feedings at their 34,000 gallon, freshwater, educational aquarium. The aquarium is filled with over 400 native Massachusetts fish (courtesy of the Massachusetts Department of Fisheries and Wildlife). *** On Saturdays only, you may even be chosen to be the honorary fish feeder of the day! ***

The Mass Cruisers are dedicated to preserving restoring and modifying classic older vehicles. We are pleased to say that due to the popularity of these events, we have added an additional FREE Cruise Night on Thursday, July 3rd from 5:30pm-8:00pm rain or shine. Not only will you get a chance to see these amazing classic cars and trucks up close, but there is also a DJ, a 50/50 raffle and prizes. These events are open to everyone and do not require RSVPs.

Even if you are a novice that has never tried Fly Fishing, you will want to check out these FREE classes and will be amazed at how quickly you can pick up this great sport. For the experienced fly fisherman, you too are encouraged to attend and are almost certain to learn something new. NRA Basic Pistol Course

Sign up now for our NEW NRA Basic Pistol Course taught by two qualified NRA instructors. 
 - Classroom instruction will be July 22nd and 24th 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Bass Pro Shops store in Foxborough.

Attendance is limited to 16 Participants.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive both a Massachusetts and NRA certificate of completion.  Course completion is a valid requirement in applying for a Massachusetts Firearms License (Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry).
What will you learn in an NRA basic pistol course?
The NRA Basic Pistol Courses provide hands on learning opportunities in the following areas:
• safe firearm handling
• firearm parts and operation
• ammunition and its function
• shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range
• how to select, clean and store a firearm
 
When you've finished your course, not only will you have learned the basics, you will be on your way to pursuing a lifetime of shooting. By joining one of the nearly 10,000 NRA-affiliated clubs located across the U.S., you can meet people who share your interest, and make lasting friendships.

Toyota Casting Challenge and Job Site Trailer
July 25, 2008 - July 27, 2008
Back for the first time since our store grand opening is the popular Toyota Casting Challenge and Job Site Trailer which will be on display in the parking area in front of the Foxborough Bass Pro Shops store during daylight business hours on Friday, July 25th through Sunday, July 27th. Casting Challenge Flip and Pitch activity: Flip a soft, plastic tube into a target with several sized rings. Participants get a custom pin when they take part. In addition, there is the Tundra Leader Board and displays inside the Casting Challenge trailer. Jobsite: Interactive trailer where fans can build their own wooden fish or truck, and accessorize it how they see fit.

Fly, Bait and Spin Casting Skills

On Saturday, July 26th and Sunday July 27th between 2:00pm - 4:00pm, test out your fly casting, bait casting and spinning skills in our outdoor casting pool. The experts from our Fishing and Fly Fishing Departments will show you the techniques that will make you an expert caster in no time.

Kayak/Canoe Pool Demonstrations

Come to the store on Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th between 11:00am - 1:00pm and expect to get wet as you have fun testing out your kayaking and canoeing skills in our portable outdoor pool. You will also have an opportunity to get tips from our experts from the Marine Department.

The Bass Pro Shops 2008 Fall Hunting Classic Sale and Show is taking place from Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August 24th at the Foxborough Bass Pro Shops store. The Fall Hunting Classic is a 17-day event that focuses on hunting and the outdoors. FREE Gun Locks Available to the First 100 that Complete Gun Safety Class

Enjoying the outdoors is about more than just hunting and fishing. Safety plays a huge role in the enjoyment of the outdoors. As a result, Bass Pro Shops will offer a free gun safety seminar at the Foxborough store at 10:00am on Saturday, August 9th. The first 100 people to complete the course will be given a Project ChildSafe gun lock.

Bass Pro firmly believes that gun safety is an important element in gun ownership. This seminar will help get people acquainted with firearms and basic safety.

The gun safety seminar is being held as part of the 17-day 2008 Bass Pro Shops Fall Hunting Classic running from Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August 24th which focuses on hunting and the outdoors.

Ducks Unlimited Retriever Demonstrations
August 17, 2008
Join us at the store on Sunday, August 17th from 11:00am-1:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm where members of Ducks Unlimited will be giving retrieving demonstrations (both on land and in the water) using their highly trained retrievers. The people from DU will demonstrate the use of various hand and voice commands for a range of situations. They will be also able to provide some handy, basic tips on how to train dogs to retrieve.  Everyone in the family will enjoy the opportunity to see these dogs perform during what is sure to be an interesting and informative event.  This event is FREE and no advance RSVP is required.

FREE Hunter Education Course
August 18, 20, 21, 25, 27, & 28
Due to popular demand, we are pleased to be able to bring the FREE MassWildlife Hunter Education Course to Bass Pro Shops in Foxborough in conjunction with our Fall Hunting Classic.  The dates for this new class are August 18, 20, 21, 25, 27 and 28 from 6:00pm-9:00pm inside the Conservation Room on the lower level of the store, as well as outside (weather permitting).

This program is taught by certified volunteer instructors and Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers.  Among the many topics covered will be the safe handling and storage of sporting arms and ammunition; hunting laws and ethics; wildlife identification; principles of wildlife management; and basic survival skills.  Classes are open to men, women, and minors ages 10 to 17 years of age with parental permission.  The program includes a minimum of 12 hours of classroom instruction.  A Certificate of Completion from this course fulfills requirements for an FID Card or LTC.  The Certificate is necessary for anyone who is purchasing a hunting license in any U.S. state or Canadian or Mexican province.

The last time this course was held, the class was full; so, you MUST pre-register directly with MassWildlife to participate.  Their number is: (978) 632-7648.

Mass Cruisers Auto Club - FREE Cruise Night

The Mass Cruisers Auto Club will be conducting their popular 2008 Cruise Night events in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot directly in front of the store. The Mass Cruisers are dedicated to preserving restoring and modifying classic older vehicles. Join us for these fun and FREE Cruise Nights, every other Thursday from May 8th through October 23rd (excluding July 3rd) from 5:30pm-8:00pm rain or shine. Not only will you get a chance to see these amazing classic cars and trucks up close, but there is also a DJ, a 50/50 raffle and prizes. These events are open to everyone and do not require RSVPs.

Fourth Annual “Matt Light Celebrity Shootout”
